6. Device Data and Data Recovery

Devices submitted for repair may contain personal data. We treat all device data with strict confidentiality. We will only access device data to the extent necessary to diagnose or complete the repair. We do not access, copy, sell, or share device data unless required to perform the service or as required by law.

Customers are solely responsible for backing up their data before submitting a device for service. Smart Geeks is not liable for data loss arising from device repair, including water damage treatment, logic board repair, or software issues.
